A rare sight in the German breeding landscape: Dollar d’Or SB is one of only a few studs sired by Dollar du Murier, winner of team gold and individual silver at the 2002 World Equestrian Games. At his time DdM was one of the world’s best show jumpers and today his offspring also achieve great results in international show jumping. DdM daughter Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois for example fetched many victories and podium positions at the Basel Grand Prix, the World Cup qualifier in Helsinki and the finals of the Global Champions Tour in Abu Dhabi.
Dollar d’Or SB was the secret star at the 2011 South German stallion grading in Munich. He confirmed the high expectations put in him with his sweeping success at the 30-day test where he achieved the highest overall score awarded to any Holstein stallion in 2011. Early, promising starts in show jumping exams have only added to our high expectations.
Dollar d’Or SB’s first foal season was also a full success. Besides his great gallop, he also passed on a well-balanced character to his foals that all looked very elegant and made an athletic impression. The judges at the offspring show thought the same and awarded gold to 90% of his first foal season. One daughter was also a highly coveted foal at the Southern German Summer Foals in Gera.
We are very much looking forward to the further development of this stallion with masculine looks and great jumping ability from Holstein lineage 8826.
An interesting Holstein blood alternative, not just because Dollar D'Or SB is almost free of C type blood.
