Herzruf

Large-framed half-blood (cannon bone 22.3 cm) and a perfect stud, with many sporting achievements to his name and great producing qualities. He was leagues ahead of any other winner in the stallion performance exam (Hengstleistungsprüfung) in Warendorf where he won with an amazing 149.6 points, a result that hasn’t been replicated by any other horse there since. In the ridability category all three test riders awarded him with mark 10 for dressage, jumping and eventing. He won the South German young stallion exam (Süddeutsches Hengstchampionat), aged 5, and has been trained to Grand Prix level. ■ Without doubt HERZRUF belongs to the few horses, whose offspring achieve exceptional results in dressage as well as in show jumping. This makes him the youngest Trakehner stallion with offspring in all three disciplines of international equestrian sport: St. Payano and Kevin in dressage, Golden Eye and Roxanne in show jumping, and Rabenklau in eventing - just to mention a few. ■ Sire Königspark is one of the main thoroughbreds in the Holstein performance breed. Dam Herzchen was DLG-mare in Hanover and reserve winner of the national mare show ■ Herzruf was ‘Stallion of the Year’ 2004 and his progeny have been said to ‘ be good at absolutely everything’ (Martin Plewa), enough reason for us to add HERZRUF to our stud. The close adherence of his foals to the breeding type is impressive. His progeny, ‘Herzrufs Erbe’, with rider Ulla Salzgeber, belongs to the best dressage horses of his generation. In 2008, the duo was awarded the Otto-Lörke Prize.
